CenturyLink announced it will file petitions with state commissions in Iowa, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming asking them to consider additions to the list of CenturyLink’s Non-Impaired Wire Centers. Dockets have already been opened in New Mexico, South Dakota, and Utah. CenturyLink anticipates requesting the addition of the following wire centers:

U.S. District Court – California – Settlement of Class Action Cramming Lawsuit

A U.S. District Court in California has approved a settlement in a class action suit brought against Verizon Communications, Inc. for cramming. Filed in 2009, the lawsuit was brought on behalf of a nationwide class of current and former Verizon landline customers who were billed for allegedly unauthorized third-party charges submitted to Verizon by billing aggregators on behalf of third-party providers.
