FCC

The FCC has extended the deadline for filing FCC Form 477 (reporting data as of December 31, 2013) to Wednesday, March 5, 2014. The extension was granted because of the adverse weather conditions on March 3, 2014 that affected the Washington, D.C. area and certain other areas and that precipitated closure of Federal offices March 3, 2014, and a delayed opening on March 4, 2014. The FCC said that providing the additional time for filing would be in the public interest since it would ensure that filers have adequate opportunity to receive assistance from Bureau staff with any last-minute issues they encounter.

By establishing voluntary programs and guidelines and improving information sharing, the legislation offers simple and affordable ways to address our energy demands and bring down costs for consumers and taxpayers. The bill has four titles: Better Buildings; Grid-Enabled Water Heaters; Energy Efficient Government Technology; and Energy Information for Commercial Building. More Information.
