FCC
The FCC announced it will host a second webinar for FCC Form 477 filers on September 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EDT using WebEx web conferencing technology. The webinar will discuss how to use the new filing interface and other filing requirements. To register for the webinar, participants should send an email to 477INFO@fcc.gov that includes the email addresses to which the FCC should send the WebEx online registration information. Individuals participating in the webinar will have the opportunity to submit questions. The answers will be broadcast to all participants. Since the webinar will discuss the mechanics of the new filing system, the FCC suggests that participants log into the online filing system (https://apps2.fcc.gov/form477) in a separate browser window during the webinar.

West Virginia
The PSC has opened a general investigation into a proposal filed by Sprint Communications Company (Case 13-1833-T-GI). The proposal asks that the PSC modify the current Rules Governing Certification and Operation of Telecommunication Relay Service (150 C.S.R. Series 21). Sprint proposed that the PSC adopt a process for selecting the TRS provider in West Virginia for an initial period of five years with a possible one year extension. The current process designates a TRS provider for an initial period of 18 months. Sprint also suggested revising certain provisions relating to rates, educational outreach, and call handling. Written comments regarding the Sprint proposal may be submitted by November 15, 2014, and reply comments are due by December 1, 2014.
