TELECOM

 

California

The PUC is investigating applicability of the Right-of-Way rules to commercial mobile radio service carriers. See the Regulatory Mix dated 9/10/14. The ALJ has released information regarding the agenda, format, and other details regarding the informational workshop that will be held on November 4 and 5, 2014. The primary focus of the workshop is the informational reports that will be filed and served on October 21, 2014, by AT&T Mobility, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, San Diego Gas & Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, and possibly other parties. Any party who plans to attend the workshop must send an email to the service list by October 28, 2014. Parties that wish to make a presentation should notify the ALJ at least three business days in advance via an email to the service list.

 

District of Columbia

The PSC of the District of Columbia adopted amendments to Chapter 13, “Rules Implementing the Public Utilities Reimbursement Fee Act of 1980,” Chapter 25, “Certification of Local Exchange Service Providers,” and Chapter 27, “Regulation of Telecommunications Service Providers” of Title 15 of its regulations (DCMR). Among other things, the rule changes require that a certificated entity provide service within five years. TMI Regulatory Bulletin Subscribers see Bulletin dated 9/30/14.

The PUC posted the following notice on their web page:

CMS USER’S MEETING

October 9, 2014, 9:30 am to 11:00 am, we will hold our periodic non-mandatory CMS Users meeting to update you on changes we have made in the CMS system. We will review some recent fixes and added functionality as well as provide an overview of upcoming changes. This meeting will give you an opportunity to request changes you would like to see and to provide additional feedback to the MPUC.
