The FCC announced that it would begin accepting applications for the second round of the COVID-19 Telehealth Program on Thursday, April 29, 2021 PM ET.  The filing window will be open for seven calendar days.  Round 2 of the Telehealth Program is a $249.95 million federal initiative supporting health care providers by providing reimbursement for telecommunications services, information services, and connected devices necessary to enable telehealth during the COVID19 pandemic.

The FCC will host a webinar for consumers and outreach partners about the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program.  The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, April 27 at 3:00 PM ET and will provide an overview of the EBB program, eligibility information, and enrollment procedures.  In addition, the FCC will review tool kit materials developed for outreach partners and the public to create awareness about the EBB program.

Iowa Cap DomeIowa Broadband Map Information Due April 30 

The Office of the Chief Information Officer (the Office) was created in 2013 as an independent agency to lead efforts to develop information technology within the state.  The Office issued a notice that it has opened a data collection period, until April 30, 2021, that will be used to develop the latest version of the statewide broadband availability map.  Broadband providers are asked to update the current map with the latest residential broadband service areas and maximum advertised speeds.
