The Public Utilities Commission of Colorado (PUC) has issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) to change various rule sections in compliance with House Bill 20-1293 which became effective January 1, 2021 and implemented the new statewide 9-1-1 surcharge. Inteserra Briefing Service subscribers see Briefing dated 3/9/21.

Assemblywoman Annette Quijano (D., District 20), re-introduced a bill that would ensure all New Jersey customers an “open, neutral, and non-prioritized Internet.”  Assembly Bill 5411 was introduced last session after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) repealed net neutrality regulations under the Trump Administration.

Energy and Commerce Republican Leader Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Communications and Technology Subcommittee Republican Leader Bob Latta (R-OH), along with U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and Sen. John Thune (R-SD), ranking member of the Subcommittee on Communications, Media, and Broadband, have sent a letter to Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Acting Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel inquiring about the agency’s status on completing its mapping process in a timely manner to ensure accurate broadband data collection.
