FCC Announces Interim Usage Charges for the Reassigned Numbers Database

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced interim usage charges for the Reassigned Numbers Database (RND). The RND will offer six subscription tiers for a one-month, three-month, or six-month subscription.

An annual subscription should be available in the future.  After a successful beta test, the RND is expected to be available for full use on November 1, 2021.

NTIA Invites Broadband Services Information 

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) of the Department of Commerce announced the proposed services areas being considered for funding under the Broadband Infrastructure Program. The Broadband Infrastructure Program is a $288 million broadband deployment program facilitating partnerships between a state, or one or more political subdivisions of a state, and a provider of fixed broadband service. Applications for funding were due on August 17, 2021.  Now broadband service providers may voluntarily submit information about the broadband services offered in any the proposed areas, which NTIA will consider in evaluation applications. Information submitted must be received by October 19, 2021, and should be provided in accordance with Section VIII.B of the Broadband Infrastructure Program Notice of Funding Opportunity
