FCC E-Rate Funding Guidance
The FCC has issued guidance to USAC on E-rate Competitive Bidding Rules for FY 2020. Specifically, it reiterated the guidance previously communicated to USAC regarding the treatment of E-Rate applications for which the applicant mistakenly selected a drop-down menu option on its FCC Form 470 that did not fully reflect the services for which it intended to seek bids.

The FCC announced that 205 additional broadband and phone service providers have taken the Keep Americans Connected Pledge, bringing the total number of companies to 390. By taking the Pledge, each of these companies has committed for the next 60 days to (1) not terminate service to any residential or small business customers because of their inability to pay their bills due to the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic;

FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel announced the release of her latest Broadband Conversations podcast with her with her guest, Congresswoman Norma Torres—the only 911 operator serving in Congress.
